Anita Sarkeesian was born in Canada and raised in the United States. She has worked as media critic since. As well as working to highlight the problems surrounding sexual harassment and attacks on women, as well as other minorities, she is determined to break the stereotypes in the popular culture. Sarkeesian, who has the degree of Master's in Social and Political Thought at York University, is a popular public speaking. As a student, in 2009, she launched her Feminist Frequency Website.
